the future: Features, Enhancements, & Upgrades
Welcome to the first installment of the labs.adtechnica.com development blog. Here we'll be updating on a semi-regular basis on the past, present, and future of ad/technica development, including the ad/technica Instant Merchandising platform. Without further ado, I'd like to introduce you to a few of the current development projects going on here in the lab.
Interactive Ad Formats
In the very near future we'll be offering several new ad block formats that allow for user interaction via the magic of javascript and DOM manipulation. This interaction will include the ability to compare prices across multiple retailers for the same or similar items, to explore complimentary or accessorized items related to the main choices it provides, as well as a condensed product reviews panel. Here is a quick taste of one format these ad blocks might take (click for an enlarged version):

Then, when you click on an item:

Merchant Integrations: CafePress & eBay
We're currently evaluating the CafePress and eBay product data feeds for inclusion into our Instant Merchandising product. This will more than double our current product offering, and double our international reach. Speaking of international reach ...
International Support for Instant Merchandising
The last stages of internal testing are coming to a close in the next two weeks for our international merchant support system. This set of features will allow for relevant, country-specific advertisements for countries other than just the United States. That also means you'll have the opportunity to monetize and convert all those folks hailing from across the pond. With the first phase of our international roll-out, we'll have support for Germany, Austria, France, UK, Japan, and more. We plan to roll out support for roughly fifteen more countries in the months after the first phase goes live.
Until next time,
